by the time you are reading this, my friend laura will know that i have flown in to shreveport to surprise her, & she will have some brand new exciting news! and since justin & i will have been traveling on saturday & loading up a moving truck with the rest of our in-shreveport possessions & shoving off for wilmington, that is why this the sunday currently post is an advance edition.
reading the hobbit, especially since we have a 15-hour [plus!] road trip in a moving truck ahead of us. i'll be critiquing this book on january 9th, when i revive my critique cache feature here on siddathornton. if you've read the book, please come link up with a review post!
writing in my brand new maybooks planner! justin surprised me with a special christmas eve delivery - the exact one i had on my wish list. this is my first maybooks experience, & i have to say, i'm impressed & already want more. i'll be sharing what it looks like soon [i'm sure, via instagram].
listening to road trip tunes as justin & i drive east. i'm sure we're already ready to be pulling into our apartment complex, but we're not scheduled to arrive until around noon on monday. i have to say, though, that i'm excited about stopping to eat at cracker barrel!
thinking that christmas was so much fun. i loved having my family here in wilmington to show them around. i missed them so much when i woke up on friday & they had already left for shreveport.
smelling fresh air on the open road.
wishing for safe travels.
hoping we have a ton of fun out with our friends on saturday night - we can't wait to see everyone!
wearing what i'm sure is frumpy road trip attire. i always pretend i'm going to wear something cute on road trips, but at the end of the day, comfort is key.
loving our brand new nikon d3000! thank you, mom & dad! justin took the lovely photo you see above with the new camera. we're already in love, & i can't wait to use it to take some pretty pictures for my blog.
wanting to get home quickly & safely & to have all our furniture unpacked & arranged.
needing water, i bet. and to get caught up on all my favorite blogs. i've taken a lot of blog-time off during the holiday season. it's been refreshing, & as always when i don't blog consistently, i've realized just how much i love it.
feeling tired, i bet.
clicking the sunday secrets.
i hope you all have had a fun, relaxing, & refreshing holiday season. here's to 2013!
