a little wish list: high end beauty products.

a little wish list: high end beauty products.

bronzer | base | highlighter | bioderma | flushed | polish | MSF | lip pencil | basics | multiple | smudge pot | blush | lipstick

Back at the end of the January, I put together the drug store beauty edition of my little wish list series. Today I'm bringing you the high end version. And apparently, I'm really jonesing for some cheek products.

FACE | Ever since its explosion onto the YouTube beauty scene, I have been wishing for Bioderma. Ever on the hunt for ways to improve my skincare regimen, this product is extremely attractive to me. It's true: I have previously owned the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, & I am really wanting to go back there. The coverage is the perfect mix of wait, you have acne? & wait, you have on foundation?

CHEEKS | Ok, everyone, here is where I go a little crazy in terms of wishing. I have a grand total of six high end cheek products depicted here. And yes, I really do think my makeup collection would benefit from all of them. Here's why. I currently own Laura Geller's Blush-N-Brighten in Honey Dipped, & I find it to be gorgeous, shimmery, lit-from-within goodness. Obviously, this means I would love the corresponding Bronze-N-Brighten. Plus, Emily suggested it, & Emily is never wrong. Another Emily suggestion? The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer. My recent interest in highlighting products explains that selection, as well as both MAC's MSF in Soft & Gentle & the Nars Multiple in Copacabana. My single blush selection for this list comes by way of Chelsea of ChelseaWears [who, by the way, is hilarious]. She raved about Tarte's Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed, comparing it to Nars Douceur [which I've always wanted to try]. Rounding out the cheeks category, we have a product that combines the bronzer, blush, & highlight aspects: Urban Decay's Naked Flushed. Not firmly depicted here is my want of more creamy cheek products. So yeah, there's that. There's actually more makeup I want.

NAILS | Speaking of ChelseaWears, in her recent Looking Forward to Spring series, she has been wearing the most beautiful nail polish I've ever seen. And that happens to be China Glaze's Peachy Keen. I want this to be my signature Spring 2013 color. I need to make this happen. Oh, & by the way, Chelsea blogs, too. Check her out here.

EYES | Ever since I really got into makeup in 2010, I've wanted to add Stila's Kitten eye shadow to my collection. Since I love a good cream eye base, I figure, why not try it out in Smudge Pot form? And honestly, people, I own both the Naked & Naked 2 palettes from Urban Decay, so do I really need the Naked Basics palette as well? Probably not, but it would expand my minimal matte shadows collection. And that's important. Right?

LIPS | It just wouldn't be a proper wish list without lip products, so here's what I'm feeling at the moment: MAC's Lip Pencil in Whirl [which is described as dirty rose], paired with MAC's Creme In Your Coffee lipstick. I have been wanting that lipstick for ages, & the good news is that, after I de-pot a few of my eye shadows, I may have enough items to do Back-To-MAC.

Love wish lists? Check out the drug store edition here. And my fashion/miscellaneous edition is coming soon, so be on the lookout! As mentioned in the drug store edition, as I [hopefully] acquire these products, I plan to review them here on this blog, complete with opinions on effectiveness & general loveliness &, of course, what I consider to be gorgeous detail shots of the packaging & product itself.

What high end beauty products do you swear by? Please do share - I'm ever on a search for new items to buy wish for.

I'm intrigued by the Bioderma. It's looks so gentle. What have you heard about it?

I love all the bronzy warm tones you chose! And I might have to grab that China Glaze peachy keen nail polish to make me feel springy {as I look out my window and snow is falling again - sigh}.

i'm also a huge fan of the HD foundation. laura mercier bronzer is also totally splurge-worthy.

I have used that MUE foundation and loved it! Not a fan of Mac lip pencils as I find them to be too hard.

I have been wanting to try the Naked Palette, I have heard only good things about it. I really love BB Cream by Clinique, it makes my skin look great.

i've mainly heard that it is good for sensitive skin, which i have. also, that it doesn't contain a lot of hard chemicals, & is good for makeup removal. the only hitch is that it isn't available in the united states, so it has to be ordered through somewhere like amazon. i'm thinking of ordering it, though.

i know, i think i'm getting in the mood for warmer weather with all these sun-kissed products! i think peachy keen will be such a great transition-into-spring nail color. i've got to pick it up soon!

i've never tried laura mercier bronzer, but i love their foundation primer & loose powder foundation! i'll definitely have to scope out the bronzers next time i'm in the mood for a splurge!

ooooh, the naked palette is SUCH a great investment. i love both of mine & use them almost daily. i would definitely recommend them to anyone. and i love clinique's skincare items [especially the moisturizing gel], so i should definitely try out a foundation or BB cream.

Laura Geller has the best bronzer! I haven't ever used any of the other stuff, though. I do love Stila!

I just bought Flowerbomb today after a visit to Sephora. I was eyeing everything in that store... aaah. The Urban Decay Naked Palette is on my want list. I was thinking of giving that MUFE foundation. I keep hearing good things about it!

I really like my Nars Laguna bronzer and blush duo. You don't have a mascara on your list. Right now my favorite is "They're Real" by Benefit. I wore Diorshow for quite some time, but I love the Benefit mascara for the money!

ohhh, i'm so jealous of your flowerbomb! that one has been on my wish list for a while. the MUFE foundation is so great - it has good coverage, but it still looks like your skin, you know what i mean? it's so pretty. as for the naked palette, i can't recommend it enough. if i had to get rid of all of my other eyeshadows & just have that palette, i'd be ok with that.

my laguna bronzer is just about used up - i need a new one! it's by far one of my favorite bronzers of all time. and i want that benefit mascara - i've heard great things about it! maybe that will be my next makeup purchase...

Spring means bronzer for me, too! I have two natural colors - white when out of sun and pink within sun, neither of which are flattering, so it's time for some sun savvy color :)

I'm extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it's rare to see a great blog like this one these days.
