the sunday currently, volume 6.

reading the happiness project. words can't describe how tired i am of having to respond that way week after week. it's my goal to finish it this week & begin something new.
writing itineraries for the weeks ahead. there's a lot to be done, i'm telling you. lots of errands to run, lots of things to get wrapped up. i leave for wilmington in less than a week now!
listening to 'hang loose,' by alabama shakes. and thinking about how ridiculous it is that i still haven't finished the 'cuba' playlist for my dear friend kris.
thinking the jam-packed week i just experienced, filled with things like dracula book club, rising at 6:00 a.m. every day & working until 5:30 p.m., etc., will make me appreciate the upcoming relaxing week. it also helped me get in lots of shreveport activities before i leave for the coast. it also served as a great source of blogging inspiration, with posts to come soon.
smelling like i was in a smoky bar last night. my hair has that trademark cigarettes-in-close-quarters smell. which sucks,  because i'm experiencing great second-day hair. i think this situation calls for a healthy dose of dry shampoo.
wishing for the ability to really slow down & enjoy my last week in shreveport for a while.
hoping i can restrain myself from eating five bowls of the gumbo my parents made in the crock pot last night.
wearing a pensacola beach sweat shirt & some boxer shorts. i'm a vision.
loving halloween & everything fall-time. like so many other people, this is just my absolute favorite time of year. i love the color schemes, the clothes, the festivities, the food, the coziness of everything... i could go on.
wanting to get a good run in the books today. it's been too long.
needing to revert to my pre-wedding habits. i was taking such good care of myself: drinking lots of water each day, eating wholesome, good foods, sticking closely to my skincare regimen, etc. i've really fallen by the wayside since the wedding & honeymoon. time to get inspired again!
feeling so lovely. the soundtrack to my life has really been matching up with the events i've been experiencing lately. and isn't that kind of a key to happiness? i think it is. there have been such awesome events in my life lately: dracula book club [pictured above], lindsey & tison's engagement party last night, etc. i'm happy!
clicking some new reads lately... from my grey desk, just a girl in a city... just to name a couple. also, this print for what will be my new office space in wilmington.

happy sunday! time to gear up for the week ahead. let's make it a good one.

I barely every have great second hair days. They just don't happen. I have a TON of fine hair. If I were you, I'd douse with dry shampoo and spray some perfume and move on with your day!!!!!!!

I don't think I could keep myself from eating five bowls of gumbo... just pretend no one is watching. ;)

I have to admit... I read The Happiness Project a while ago and just couldn't get into it. It took me quite a while to get through and I wasn't as excited by it as I thought I would be.

A sweatshirt and boxer shorts sounds so nice right now! (:

since I've spent the past few years in places where you can't smoke in bars, I'm always SHOCKED when I go somewhere where it's legal! last time it happened, I took a shower as soon as I got home. yes, it was 2am and yes, I was drunk - but I could not sleep with smokey hair!

One day I'm going to get my ish together and participate in a Sunday currently post!! You need to harass me until I do.

I will say it again - I SO wish I was at the Dracula book club!!! Y'all are really stepping it up!

Can I request the crockpot gumbo recipe? I;ve been on a quest for more a) crockpot recipe and b) more Louisiana recipes so this would be perfect!

Sidenote: my last sentence just made me realize, for the first, time ever, the part the word "quest" plays in the word "request". Don't you just love when that happens??

I had the smokey hair smell the next day too! Eww! I dry shampooed it way (although I got an occasional whiff of cigarette throughout the day). Why didn't I just get in the shower!?! So lazy.

I had an amazing Thursday and Saturday with you. I don't want to think about having to say goodbye again :( but i am happy for you and Justin to start a normal daily routine. It is going to be amazing.

love you- focusedlinz

I'm glad you like my print! That one is very special as 100% of the proceeds benefit the medical fund of my friend's daughters. They both have SMA, a terminal wasting disease. You can learn more about them at www.brookeandbrielle.com

Unquestionably believe that which you said.

Your favorite reason appeared to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I definitely get irked while people think about worries that they
just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people
can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more.

Thanks

Justin had to turn on the air conditioner again last night.  It's October 26 - doesn't that mean the heater can stay on? Doesn't...
