a few weeks ago, i decided to tackle one of the zillion recipes i'd added to my food board on pinterest.
it was one of those saturdays: i woke up, went for a run, showered, & was ready to relax in front of the many football games going on that afternoon. i also wanted to eat something yummy. and that, ladies & gentlemen, is how the name 'football soup' was born. yes, it's true: this no-named soup recipe from pinterest now has a proper title.
you're welcome, food world.
the best way to descripe this extremely easy-to-make crock pot soup is creamy, dreamy, delicious, & addictive.
that's really the best i can do. you're just going to have to try it out yourself.
since this soup's trial run, i have made it an additional time or two, & last night saw another repeat. with this dish's growing popularity (and by that i mean popular with myself), i decided it was time for its blog debut.
football soup.
i found this recipe on pinterest.
ingredients:
can of rotel
can of corn
can of black beans (drained & rinsed)
2 frozen chicken breasts (i used 3)
8 oz cream cheese
1 packet dry ranch dressing
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
directions:
1. put all ingredients in crock pot.
2. cook 6-8 hours on low/medium.
3. shred chicken when tender. i used two forks to do this.
so there you have it!
this recipe is great because it's so simple & yummy.
i'd definitely recommend it for a football or holiday party.
it's good with tortilla chips, french bread, or just all on its own.
